Air Bank Business Account: who it's for and what it offers
Air Bank offers a business account aimed at both sole traders (OSVČ) and limited-liability companies (s.r.o.). It targets smaller business owners and freelancers looking for straightforward money management without paying for everyday banking tasks. According to the bank's website, the account can be held in Czech koruna, euros, or US dollars, so it also suits businesses earning in foreign currency.
Fees and account maintenance
Per the product description, account maintenance is free with no conditions attached — regardless of turnover, number of transactions, or account balance. The bank's own website confirms this with identical wording for all three available currencies. That's fairly unusual in the business-account segment, where many banks tie the zero fee to a minimum monthly turnover or a minimum number of card payments.
Domestic payments, SEPA payments, instant payments, standing orders, and direct debits are also free according to the product description. The bank's live page does not contradict any of this.
Cards and cash withdrawals
According to the bank's website, both a physical and a virtual payment card are available immediately after opening the account. Cash withdrawals are free from more than 2,000 shared ATMs across the Czech Republic. Withdrawing from another bank's ATM outside that network costs CZK 35 within the EU and CZK 100 outside the EU — these specific figures come from the bank's current offer page, not from the base product data. Business owners who travel and withdraw cash abroad often can also add an optional unlimited worldwide withdrawals service for CZK 100 per month.
Invoicing and tax documents
The account includes a free invoicing tool built directly into the mobile app — invoices can be issued with a QR code for fast payment. The bank also automatically prepares monthly documents for VAT and income tax returns each month (the bank's website also mentions the VAT control statement), which can save time for both the accountant and the business owner. This is one of the main differences from standard bank accounts, where such documents typically have to be pulled together manually or through separate accounting software.
Priority Pass and additional perks
The account comes with access to a network of more than 1,500 airport lounges worldwide through the Priority Pass programme. According to the bank's current offer, an ongoing promotion includes two free lounge visits — this is not a cash bonus for opening the account (no monetary bonus is listed anywhere in the product data), but a travel-related perk that will appeal mainly to business owners who travel frequently for work.
Customers who also hold a savings account with Air Bank can get a preferential annual rate of 2.6% on balances up to CZK 300,000, on condition of at least 5 card payments per month. This is a separate product, not a feature of the business account itself, but it's worth mentioning as part of the bank's overall offer for business owners.
Optional add-on services
Besides the unlimited foreign withdrawals mentioned above (CZK 100/month), the bank also offers SMS transaction notifications for CZK 25/month and non-SEPA foreign transfers for CZK 100 per transaction. None of these services are mandatory — they're add-ons on top of the free base account setup.
Who the account suits
The account suits sole traders and smaller limited-liability companies who want a bank account with no monthly fee and no conditions to keep it that way, while also valuing automated tax documents and invoicing directly from a phone. Business owners who travel frequently get an unusual extra benefit in the form of airport lounge access. Since neither the product data nor the bank's website mentions an overdraft facility, we'd recommend checking directly with the bank if an overdraft matters for your business.
